Marga Leuthe, Grit Koalick and Maria Trunk invited to a drawing workshop within the umundu festival in Dresden, Germany. They questioned: What is my vision of the future? How can I give it wings with words and pictures? And how do I visualize and integrate these ideas and visions within my district and my city, also as an idea or solution for global challenges such as climate change, population growth and poverty in emerging and developing countries.
On the basis of a creative vision of the conversion of the Quelle department store as part of a socially, ecologically and culturally shaped movement, the artists and the participants transferred their approach to the area behind the “Leipziger Bahnhof” in Dresden and to draw. The participants receive suggestions on how to present ideas spatially and in relation to other ideas. From many snippets they putted together a large cooperative picture of our dreams. Previous drawing skills were not absolutely necessary.
