In the 1st Future Workshop 2018 by Grit Koalick, Maria Trunk and Marga Leuthe, we asked about the big vision for the youth art school. When brainstorming at the beginning, all options are open. Then a detailed plan is considered in the form of short tickers to describe the implementation and the actors involved. This creates a timeline from 2017 to 2030 and the ideas adapt to the concrete reality: Small ideas go quickly and you can get started right away, large tasks require more time, participants and budget.
Documentary elements can be combined with freely invented ideas. Milestones that have already been reached are presented realistically, while the future leaves room for wild ideas and concepts. Local actors and concepts from outside such as cities, countries and clubs are integrated. In order to implement the vision, they will be adapted to the legal framework if necessary and partners and foundations will be sought to promote ideas. In this way, a picture of the future emerges and provides impetus for positive change.
In der 2. Zukunftswerkstatt 2019 von Maria Trunk und Grit Koalick wurden ein Zukunftsbüro und eine Zukunftsbibliothek in Stralsund installiert. Wir leiteten eine Gruppe aus Schüler*, Lehrer* und Leiter*innen an, ihre Fantasien für eine lebendige Jugendkunstschule in konkret umsetzbare Pläne zu übersetzen. Dazu wurde das Material aus der 1. Zukunftswerkstatt auf- und sieben priorisierte Projekte herausgegriffen. Zwei Tage lang arbeiteten kleine Gruppen an der Konkretisierung und Überprüfung dieser Ideen. Anschließend konnten die Beteiligten sehr konkret in die Umsetzung ihrer Ideen gehen: z.B. die Entwicklung eines Diversitätsmonitors, die Einrichtung eines Raums zum Sein oder die Installation eines Ideenbriefkastens.
Nach den Workshops reiste Grit Koalick nochmal nach Stralsund und zeichnete die verschiedenen Orte, Aktivitäten und Menschen der Jugendkunstschule als Plakatmotiv.
